Jomanda Brahman Stud is situated at Clarenza, on the North Coast of NSW just a few minutes drive from Grafton. Jomanda was registered in 1989 and is owned and operated by the Johnson Family. Stud principals, Max and Dawn Johnson together with their son Colin and his wife Katrina are continually pushing the boundaries in the search for excellence within the herd.

Jomanda has bred a high quality Red and Grey herd with extensive use of A1 and ET  always using the best genetics available. Our Grey herd is based predominantly on the proven Hudgins bloodlines, while the Reds are a mix of both Australian and Imported genetics. We feel these genetics give our cattle the ability to perform in any situation or location.

Jomanda has sold bulls and females into QLD, NSW and VIC with excellent results. Our most exciting sale being Rockhampton Brahman Week 2005 when the Red sire Jomanda Excel sold for $36,000 to Andrew Chapman, Rowanlea Pastoral Co Calliope QLD, Jomanda Ransom for $20,000 to Noel Daley, Caiwarra stud Julia Creek QLD and Jomanda Exceed for $12,000 to Jeff Duddy, Springshore QLD. The three Red’s giving Jomanda the top vendor average of $22,666. Success has also been enjoyed at Grafton’s annual Bull & Female sale held in early September. Last year Jomanda Platinum was Champion Bull and top price of the sale at $8,750 creating a new sale record. Good competition and repeat buyers at this sale have proven predictability and consistency in our cattle. Many private sales for both bulls and females have been negotiated and paddock inspections are always most welcome.

      We are pleased with the progress our Stud has made in this very competitive industry and look forward to the challenge of breeding more high quality, functional and competitive Jomanda Brahmans.
