Young grey sire Myeden Tyson (IVF) (H), (JDH Sir Eastman Manso X Myeden Bree), a JDH Mr Boswick Manso grandson, was purchased at the Myeden Dispersal sale at Gympie in June 2010. He will be used with our AI & selected heifers.
Grey sire Eureka Creek Midas (JDH Martin Manso from a SS Principe De Siguacan daughter) was purchased at the 2009 RBWS for $13000 and joins our current grey sires Lancefield D Lawler 2796/D (JDH Leberation 79/1 from a JDH Datapack Manso daughter) purchased at the 2008 Big Country Sale at Charters Towers & Mr Karock 012 (JDH Karu Manso 800 out of a V8 901/4 Brahrock daughter).
Two red poll sires were purchased in October 2010. J Net Monte Christo 37 (KP Monty (AI) (S) X Alma Park 1613 (P) was selected at RBWS. Alinta KA Red Kestrel (P) (Kandoona Redwing 4856(P) x Alinta Scottish Roberta) was purchased at the Roma Tropical Sale. We are impressed with the first calves from these sires.
Red poll sire Pine Crest Victa (Tartrus 034887 (P) X Palmvale Anna 1713(P) ) was purchased at the 2009 February Brahman Summer & All Breeds sale & has been joined to our polled breeders & Eltons daughters.
We ran an AI program early in 2008 using grey semen JDH Mr Manso 506/2 & WR Mr Sid 305 & red semen of our poll sire Batandra Duracell (Abbotsford Duracell(P) X Fairy Springs Red Dollar). In our 2009 & 2010 AI programs we used grey 506/2 & JDH Brandon semen & red poll semen from Palmvale Atomic Sting & Batandra Duracell (P) as well as Lancefield D Robinson semen.
Grey progeny from JDH Brandon, 506/2, Lancefield D Lawlor & Mr Karock 012 & red progeny of poll sire Batandra Duracell, Kandoona Kendall, Wandarri Elton & Bradela A Grant will be available for sale in 2011.
